College Possible is a nonprofit that helps students from low-income families earn a college degree.

College Possible was founded in St. Paul and has been serving students and families in the Twin Cities for 17 years. In 2015, we launched a tech-connected program serving 300 high school students across the state of Minnesota. Eligible students hold a 2.5 GPA or higher and come from a low-income background.

Students in the program will receive personalized coaching during their junior and senior year, including:

  • Orientation to the college application process

  • ACT test preparation

  • College essay and application assistance

  • Financial aid and scholarship application support

  • College selection and transition advising

There are three steps to apply for this program. We ask that for each student that applies, we have these three forms completed:

  1. Student Application

  2. Parent Application (*after Student Application is submitted, parent/ guardian will receive application link)

  3. Teacher Recommendation

Each form should take no more than 10 minutes to complete!

Students who are accepted to this program are expected to actively engage with their coach. This involves setting up and engaging in a monthly phone conference with their coach, reading monthly e-newsletters, and participating in virtual workshops, as scheduled. Coaches are available to their students at any time, but students should remain in contact with their coach about needs and scheduling.
